Artist Trading Cards

5th and 6th Grade MST Artists made Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) and one of their very first assignments of the year. We discussed layering different materials, and trying new ways of handling every day materials to make mixed media collages.

 

The results were one of a kind! These cards were such a success, we traded them with another Elementary school in Ft. Worth. Each student received a different card from an unknown artist. You can read more about their experiences on our blog's "Artist Trading Card" page. 

4th Grade Gets Splattered!

Our 4th Grade winners of the MST Box Tops for Education Contest received the Famous Rock Star Artist Trophy and a special art project. Students will have the chance to explore the life and work of Jackson Pollock, and create a collaborative splatter paint mural to be displayed in school.
